La delegación argentina al Campeonato Panamericano U-20 de Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, partió desde Ezeiza con rumbo a San Juan de Puerto Rico. Este grupo ha tenido un intensa preparación, con un interesante programa de competencias, que se iniciaron para la mayoría en el Campeonato Nacional U-18 en Resistencia Chaco en el 2022, continúo con el Sudamericano U-18 de San Pablo también en 2022 y ya durante este año en el Campeonato Nacional U-20 en Rosario, el ABP en Posadas y el Sudamericano DE u-20 de Bogotá, además de campamentos y concentraciones previaS a la partida de hoy. El Campeonato Panamericano U-20 se realiza cada dos años, habiendo comenzado en 1980 en Subury, Canadá. Reúne a los mejores atletas de América. En esta competencia han participado atletas que luego fueron figuras mundiales en diversas pruebas.
